Services are provided to children from birth through age 3 with special needs. These services are provided in the child’s most natural environment and may include: service coordination, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, special instruction (teacher), vision and hearing specialists. Also provides fee developmental screenings and evaluations for any children with developmental concerns.

The mission of Penn State Cooperative Extension is to extend non-formal outreach educational opportunities to individuals, families, businesses, and communities throughout Pennsylvania. To enable the Commonwealth to maintain a competetitive and environmentally sound food and fiber system and prepare youth, adults, and families to enhance the quality of their lives and participate more fully in community decisions. Educational programs are developed and provided based on community interests and needs. While educators in the 4-county area specialize in: 4-H/Youth Development, Childcare, Community and Economic Development, Forestry, Family Financial Management, Parenting, and Water Quality, Extension has the capability to access knowledge not only from across the state but also the nation through the new eXtension initiative. |
